Chemical Resistant Mineral Filled Polypropylene​

Key features:

ACCOM's chemical resistant mineral filled polypropylene has a number of key properties.

1. Chemical resistance: excellent resistance to most chemicals such as acids, bases, alcohols, greases and greases, especially at room temperature. Avoid long-term contact with strong oxidizing acids (e.g., concentrated sulfuric acid, nitric acid) or high-temperature halogenated hydrocarbons.

2. Rigidity: Mineral filling significantly increases flexural modulus (up to 2-3 times that of pure PP).

3. Creep resistance: suitable for long-term load scenarios.

4. Abrasion resistance: Fillers reduce surface wear.

5. Thermal performance: The heat deflection temperature (HDT) can be increased to 120-140°C (about 60°C for pure PP). Flame retardancy is usually limited and flame retardants need to be added.

6. Density: 1.05-1.25 g/cm³ (higher than 0.9 g/cm³ for pure PP).

7. Processability: chemical resistant mineral filled polypropylene can be molded by injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, but fillers may increase melt viscosity.

Application Scenarios:

1. Tank and pipe linings: for the storage of corrosive liquids such as acids, alkalis, and salt solutions to prevent corrosion of metal tanks.

2. Valves & Pump Casings: Resist media attack and extend equipment life when conveying chemicals.

3. Reactor accessories: such as stirring paddles and sealing rings, which need to withstand the chemical corrosion of reaction by-products.

4. Engine compartment components: such as coolant water tank and air duct, which need to be resistant to high temperature (above 120°C) and oil and antifreeze.

5. Battery case and charging port cover: Resist electrolyte leakage and environmental chemicals (e.g. snow melting salt).

6. Interior components: detergent-resistant instrument panel brackets, door panel structural parts.

7. Wear-resistant parts: conveyor belt rollers, gears, bearing cages, using the wear resistance of mineral fillers to reduce wear. Corrosion-resistant bracket: used as a support structure for electroplating equipment and sewage treatment machinery.

8. Gasket: replaces rubber in acid-alkali environments to avoid swelling failure.

9. Chemical-resistant housings: Laboratory equipment, industrial controller housings that resist solvent cleaning.
